77 years ago today:
Thanks to Nikki Stratton, I was honored to spend an unforgettable few minutes in the warmth and humerus company of Mr. Donald Stratton. Both he and his shipmate Mr. Ken Potts would graciously sign the Log Book. I was floored when Mr. Stratton gave me an autographed copy of his book, “All The Gallant Men”.
It is impossible to grasp the depth of horror and suffering these events inflicted. Their personal journey of healing is lifelong and continuous. They must be remembered always.
